Support for the Tokoyo no Hi Project and Naming of "AGRIBOT"
The Nonprofit Organization International Community Support (ICS) supports the "Tokoyo no Hi Project," which aims to build a sustainable symbiotic model connecting local communities with the world.
This project integrates agriculture, tourism, and disaster prevention starting from Mount Fuji, inspired by the ancient mythology concept of "Tokoyo"—an ideal land where life continuously circulates. ICS resonates with this philosophy and proposed the name "AGRIBOT" for the agricultural touring vehicle.
"AGRIBOT" is a coined term combining Agriculture + Robot + Messenger, representing a silver messenger that transports local resources and preserves life.
AGRIBOT Significance: Bridging Foreign Visitors and Disaster Response
With the increase of foreign tourists and workers in Japan, multilingual support and disaster response systems in local areas are becoming urgent.
AGRIBOT plays a role as a "life highway" connecting foreigners and local communities through the following functions.
Multilingual Support and Tourism Assistance
- Provide agricultural experiences and fermented culture introductions in multiple languages
- Include a "Spirit Navigator" guiding local shrines and mythology sites
- Promote cultural exchange with foreign tourists
Disaster Support Functions
- Equipped with AI for evacuation guidance and information during disasters
- Provide multilingual emergency announcements and shelter guidance
- Distribute food, water, and fermented preserved food
- Support disaster response training for foreign workers (in collaboration with DMTC)
AGRIBOT serves as a mobile vehicle protecting local lives, fulfilling the triple role of tourism, education, and disaster prevention.
🤝 ICS's Future Initiatives
ICS aims to expand the philosophy of the "Tokoyo no Hi Project" nationwide through support for the deployment of AGRIBOT, construction of coexistence models with foreigners, and international promotion of local resources.
We will strengthen collaboration with roadside stations, shrines, and educational institutions, aiming for the implementation and dissemination of the "Life-Preserving Highway".

Co-Creation with Africa in a New Era
Taking advantage of the Africa Development Conference (TICAD) held in Yokohama, ICS aims to build new bridges of cooperation between Japan and African countries.
We focus not on simple aid, but on "economic support through education," aiming to co-create a truly sustainable future.
Japan’s Challenges and Desired Future
Currently, Japan faces several pressing issues.
Declining birthrate and aging population, labor shortage: A decreasing working-age population reduces overall societal vitality, causing severe labor shortages across industries.
Enhancing attractiveness as a tourism nation: Leveraging Japan’s culture and technology to further promote tourism is essential for regional economic revitalization.
International contribution as a disaster-resilient nation: Japan experiences frequent natural disasters; sharing expertise and technologies internationally while strengthening domestic resilience is necessary.
These issues cannot be solved domestically alone. Collaboration with the international community, especially African countries, is key to Japan’s future.
Economic Support Activities through Co-Creation with Africa
ICS supports the independence and sustainable development of African countries through "economic support through education," without relying on immigration.
🤝 Recommendations from the Yokohama Africa Conference 🤝
The Africa Conference held in Yokohama from August 20, 2025 promotes the philosophy of "from aid to investment" and "co-creation." ICS endorses this spirit, deploying Japan’s technology and educational resources in Africa to maximize benefits for both sides.
📚 Human Resource Development through Education 📚
Providing practical education programs for African youth to drive their domestic economy, including transfer of advanced Japanese agricultural and fishery processing technologies, heavy machinery and vehicle maintenance training, contributing to local employment and technical skill development. Local governments’ participation, like the Fukaura-Tanzania partnership, shows a new path for international contribution.
🌍 Economic Development Leveraging Mutual Strengths 🌍
Combining Japan’s advanced technology and know-how with Africa’s rich resources and young, energetic workforce to create new industries and support economic independence. This is based on "co-creation"—learning from each other and growing together.
Our Goals
Through education and economic support, ICS aims to:
Establish a sustainable international cooperation model: Build long-term partnerships beneficial to both sides.
Contribute to Japanese societal challenges: Utilize foreign talent strategically to enhance resilience and support a symbiotic society.
Promote African economic independence: Expand educational opportunities and technology transfer to nurture human resources driving local development.
ICS is committed to leveraging Japan’s strengths as a member of the international community to co-build Africa’s future. We invite you to follow our activities.
